SpywareBlaster won't open. I have turned-off all anti-virus and anti-malware programs. I ran Process Monitor but the log file was empty. Renaming/restoring the original profiles.ini of Firefox did not work. Neither running repairs in Tweaking.com Windows Repair, nor restoring the registry, has helped. This is the only program that has stopped.

What Windows Services are necessary to open SpywareBlaster?

Current free version of Spyware Blaster (Win 10). Google Chrome shows seven items unprotected: Zeus x 6 and FakeWarn. When I check them and click on Protect Against Checked Items, those seven lose their checks, as if nothing had happened. What's the problem? Thanks,

I have been using it, low, these many moons, as it covers me for firefox, chrome and vivaldi.

The only odd think I ever came across was a problem on standard user accounts; i.e.:
* It would update ("definitions", or block lists) on the admin account, but when I then went to one of the standard user accounts the "definitions" had not taken.
*On that occasion I had to run as admin on the standard account and update in that user space.

It seems OK since. But, honestly, I haven't...

I have 2 Windows 10 PCs with SpywareBlaster installed and I use Brave as my default browser on both. SpywareBlaster on 1 of them detects Brave as an installed browser and allows me to enable protection for it, but the installation on my other PC doesn't detect Brave and I can't enable protection for it. I have removed and reinstalled SpywareBlaster but Brave still isn't detected, how can I get it to detect Brave properly. the PC not detecting Brave is Win10 Home, that's the only...

I'm trying to take their Harrower-Erickson exam and the final page is hanging I suspect that Spywareblaster is the cause. But I don't want to use the web without it. I'm using Brave.

I'm sorry, I jumped the gun. The end of the exam forces you to go through a questionairre about computer and TV habits. The test is trying to see if you have 4 or more mentally disturbed answers. If you do, you are Disturbed.

I just updated my Spywareblaster program and Enabled all protection but it seems that 43 items in Google Chrome are still disabled. I went in and manually checked each one then enabled protection again and the checks disappeared and are still disabled. Below are the entries that remain disabled or unprotected. To Whom it May Concern;
Recently the Spyware Blaster 6 installed in my HP Notebook Laptop "WILL NOT DISPLAY"!

I'm using Microsoft's Windows 10 Pro x64 Bit Operating System (purchased directly from Microsoft & "NOT" modified by HP)

When I try to run Spyware Blaster 6, (which I have uninstalled & re-installed),"NOTHING HAPPENS", it does not show "ANY" ERROR codes or messages, but instead, absolutely "NOTHING" Appears! Please help!
Also, when I ran the compatibility troubleshooter...

When doing a fresh install of Win10 on my laptop and desktop computers, Spywareblaster showed Brave on my laptop but not on my desktop.

Both running Spywareblaster 6.0.

Any ideas why?

Please consider including the Browser "OPERA" in Spywareblaster's browser Protection List!

Hello Forum,

We use primarily Windows 10 and 11 workstations and Windows Server 2019 Servers in our small office. I'm interested in using Spyware Blaster Network version. I see that it can be installed on one computer and updates will be delivered to all computers inside my network.

1. Will Spyware Blaster Network work on Server 2019 with IIS installed to send updates to all my office computers?
2. Does Spyware Blaster provide protection for Windows Server editions or does it only work...

Spyware Blaster works, it just wont auto-update.

I have been using SWB for a decade with no issues, periodically updating the database and main program

i had been using v6, but about 2 months ago, i tried to start the program and it took 30+ minutes to load and display the screen - it was successful updating, but no matter what i do, it takes well over 30 minutes to load - i tried downloading earlier versions and they all do the same thing, always maxing out my Win7x64 CPU at 13% and not displaying - except v4.6 or earlier - THEY load...

System Snapshot has stopped saving the snaps. The progress bar quickly fills in and says "Finished" but "restore" indicates there are none saved. In the SpywareBlaster folder there are sss0.sss files listed for each attempt at saving, but they each show 0 kb.

I reinstalled 6.0, but that did not solve the problem.

Thanks for any light you may be able to shed.
I'm hoping that SB is still working normally despite this bug.

I have used the install Microsoft Edge program, with these parameters:-

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\%edgever%\Installer\setup.exe" --uninstall --force-uninstall --system-level

to uninstall Microsft, as I hate being forced to have it installed when I do not use it under Windows 10.

Windows 10 works perfectly well without it.

However, Spyware Blaster 6.0 still behaves as if Microsoft Edge is installed and lists the number of protection disabled settings.

Creating a technical support ticket fails every attempt with the error that I'm not authorized; however, I am a pro license holder. As well, any attempt to reset password fails, which I've tried to do since it doesn't recognize the email with which I registered or and bought the license (!).

While that is obviously frustrating, my query is simple: Why is there no option to upgrade my license from single-PC user to 1-3-PC user? Why can't I, say, renew early and upgrade? I've purchased...

In 2019, Waterfox development was split into two branches:
- The "old" WF became Waterfox Classic (still based on FF 56 ... and probably already abandoned).
- The "new" WF (now always based on the latest Firefox ESR) became successively "Current" (based on FF 68 ESR, the first "new gen" WF), G3, G4, G5 and actually G6 (based on the actual FF 115 ESR).

Supermium is a Chromium fork aimed at legacy systems (even XP ) that don't support official Chromium browsers any more.

I tried to make SpywareBlaster detect it in a Windows 7 64bit VM by applying:

Using spywareBlaster 6.0...
I have uninstalled some older browsers I no longer have use for. They still appear in SpywareBlaster and there seems to be no option to Delete these from SpywareBlaster.
Is there something I've missed?
Any help greatly appreciated.
